[FiberFanatic] FiberFanatic Digest, Vol 1, Issue 3

I have been a member since the first year of Spa Kit Spin. The NETA site has a calendar that helps all business and small family farms......but we will never touch NETA with competition as another online community, it is a tight group. They will get involved if we have something interesting to talk about or fundraise for, otherwise there are so many other fiber groups to belong to and try to keep up with. As a member I post news all the time and have always asked for help with the Frolic from other members through postings. Trying to get some members involved or interested in our Frolic areas of volunteer , we have gained a few volunteers from the NETA site
You can view the digest without really becoming involved. It is just another internet group like feltmaker's digest, spinlist, naturaldyelist, etc. The more information we can get out on their postings the better. Unfortunately, I believe we would fall short of the NETA group because we have a reasonability to the festival in ways the NETA members do not. It is just a get together......... what ever happens, happens. It is a weekend away with out reasonability except for the vendors.........there are no expectations on anyone. Many of the members are out-of -state.

I agree we will need it to be active and informational with fiberfanatics, mostly about fiber and what is happening with fiber, fiber animals and the arts in Maine and the Frolic.

Will NETA folks get grumpy if we promote a new online community through theirs? I'm not in NETA, I probably should sign up.

I think we should use it for all those purposes, and promote the FF to subscribers. This is new ground for me so I'm not sure of what the steps should/might be.
